Campana Brothers Vermelha Chair Special Edition

This special edition of infamous vermelha chair is created by the Campana brothers for Edra. Titled the Italian Pride edition, the colors recall the national flag, but with Christmas just a month away the colors are also particularly festive. The chair takes four days to make and uses 500 meters of acrylic and natural cotton rope. While the final design looks very random, the chair actually uses a complex knotting system that only one person in edra’s factory can perform. The special edition ‘italian pride’ model is available only on demand. edra has also developed special christmas decorations using the rope from the vermelha. They will be having a live hand making performance of the vermelha in their milan showroom from december 16 -18, 2009.
